I was tasked with creating and programming a multiple-option AR (Augmented Reality) filter by the very talented British artist Aphra Shemza.
The filter itself is based on Anwar Shemza's work, and in particular, his "Heads" series.
Today (April 2024) you can check the paintings at HAle's art gallery in London.
This year his work is displayed at the Venice Art Biennale.
We started from one of the Heads artworks, adapting the piede, and tested a number of options on how the artwork becomes alive within the AR filter.
The solution was a 3-options AR filter, in which users can test the three options and interact with the piece, becoming part of it.
You can test the filter yourself under Aphra Shemza's Instagram account @aphrashemza
