Short Films:
Beta Male, the Tale of the Dark L by Marianne Chase (2018)
The Challenge: Supporting the writer/director/actor Marianne to materialise her vision; incorporating other skills into the project to complete it, such as Foley and Visual Effects.
The Solution: I scoured through four full days' worth of raw footage, creating a first montage strictly based on the script, we slowly and patiently moved to multiple variations and different iterations alongside the director (Marianne) to completely finalise the short film.
End Credits by Steven Santa Cruz (2019)
The Challenge: post-mortem completing the short film written and directed by my friend Steven, who sadly passed of Covid in January 2021 and never got to complete this film. I was due to edit the film before his untimely passing, so as a tribute I pushed to complete the project having unanimous support from the crew and his family.
The Solution: Digging through three days worth of raw footage, following Steven's script and his incomplete footage notes, I built the montage which was turned into the finalised short film. This was a team work effort involving key crew members and Steven's family, to achieve an 'as close to his vision as possible' version of the film.

DIY enthousiast Yoni repairs things in his attic, for little cost, and with a wide range of skills involved. His work  repairing things ranges from consumer electronics to car power windows or coffee machines, as well as creating things from scratch such as a bike shed.
The Challenge: turning one to two hours of raw footage into a 15 minute youtube video, compressing the "dead time" between key-points of the footage.
The Solution: Keeping the DIY spirit of yoni's previous videos (which he edited himself) I made sure the look & feel of the videos matched those of a DIYer holed up in their attic, doing things for the love of doing those things, improving details such as keeping the audio when fast-forwarding long minutes of footage, keeping the audience engaged and connecting the key moments of each video with these ambient sounds.

Music Videos
The Challenge: Low-budget video clip for musician Sun Dialler, following the director's vision for this rather unusual music video (which unfortunately was not released by the artist's label).
The Solution: Following the script, I selected the best shots for each scene; then alongside Steven (the director) we fine-tuned the timing of the key moments, in order to achieve the director's vision for this bold Female Heroin Revenge music clip
The Challenge: filmed with our phones combining the footage from different camera types/specs in very low light (also lit with a mobile phone) at Tempelhofer Feld, Berlin's airport park, during an improptu dance jam to this very song. A personal project as a memento of that moment in time.
The Solution: Incorporated stock footage of vibrant Berlin at night, to set the stage, then moving to the beat of the song swapping from angle to angle back and forth, inviting the viewer to move their body. Taking advantage of Pancho's dancing flow which takes through the different ambiences of the audio track.
A friend's wedding gift, we did this music video in a one-day turnover, involving a minimum crew. Long live the newlyweds!
Corporate Identity
CUSHN Co (Promo video + 3 Social Media teasers, 2018)
The Challenge: creating an "introduction" video for CUSHN Co fabric recycling startup, portraying the entire process of creating a cushion made entirely of fabric refuse leftovers
The Solution: I compiled the filmed footage into a visually appealing storytelling in under one and a half minutes. During that time we see how the cushion comes to life, starting from a bin load of fabric offcuts turning  into a unique and beautiful cushion.
Lastly, out of this video I also cut three short teasers for social media.

Several internal (long-length -over 1 hour- tutorial/lessons internally recorded), external communications (Promotional event videos, CEO interviews, Social Media adverts), I have many editing examples including Motion Graphics I made for Klarrio, a Belgian technology company I worked for between July 2018 and June 2022.
Peloton & Co (2014)
Promo video for a bike-shop cafe I used to work at. I filmed the video on my MiniDV camera: as hipster as you can get.
Video Art
Personal artistic project, 24+ minutes long video loop, an underground trip across the subway of four different cities I've lived or regularly mingled at.
The Challenge: making a seamless loop of a seemingly never-ending underground commute, combining footage of multiple underground lines for each of the four cities featured on this "underground mental ride"
The Solution: unified the multitude of clips from different cities and multiple subway lines for each city, connected by the sounds of the travelling trains and the common visuals of the tunnels between stops. We get lost looking outside the window to find ourselves transported to a different place, travelling without moving
