Presented during the InTAD show, held at the Centro de Arte Sonoro (CASo), Casa Nacional del Bicentenario, Riobamba 985 third floor. CABA Argentina, November 17, 2023.
Concept:
The intersection of two apparently antagonistic actors. The close relationship between what at first glance seems sterile, rational, exact, repetitive and what is flexible, what is fertile. Questioning as an initial motor, amplified and microscopic, artificial, doing and undoing, subduing.

The idea for the project came from Chiara, a biologist specializing in fish and neuroscience, and Paloma, a set designer and artist. The framework of an immersive installation is the result of a need for interdisciplinary fusion. It is the evolution of the impulse to represent the sensation of inhabiting a laboratory of animal behavior, focusing on the scientific process with a poetic gaze.
About the piece:
The idea for the project came from Chiara, a biologist specializing in fish and neuroscience, and Paloma, a set designer and artist. The framework of an immersive installation is the result of a need for interdisciplinary fusion.
In this interactive work, viewers are immersed in a laboratory, surrounded by scientific elements and tools such as microscopes, tubes, beakers, Erlemeyers, falcon tubes, petri dishes, pipettes. On one side of the laboratory, 25 fish tanks with multiple specimens swimming inside.
At times, visitors to this laboratory will find themselves immersed in the fish tanks, questioning the visitors' position as observers, perhaps being precisely themselves the ones being observed.
This reversible double game of observer-observed takes us back to current times and the relationship between social networks and their users, and the reversibility of that relationship.
On this occasion I participate in the creative team as a technical assistant, materializing the concepts in an interactive audiovisual system in real time, with multiple video captures feeding a projection mapped in fish tanks in which the audience appears reflected.
Tech specs
-2 cameras (up to 4 possible) live feed
-Projection mapping (25 fish tanks)
-Random opening/closing of the feed in different fish tanks
-Ambient sound
Currently I am developing the following variations/options:
-camera that is activated by proximity (projecting that input into the fish tanks)
-camera(s) that are activated/deactivated depending on the position of fish (within in-situ fish tanks)
